The Ski Club of Great Britain is the UK’s largest snow sports membership organisation. We are seeking a Community Executive to support our in-resort programmes, including the Ski Club Leader Service, Instructor Led Guiding and Ski Club Freshtracks.

Joining a growing team, this new, exciting role will have responsibility for creating a community of skiers in featured resorts through social media channels as well as utilising our social media channels to promote our on snow services.

As a strong communicator of graduate calibre, you should be motivated and enjoy snowsports, using social media, creating interesting content and chatting about skiing. You will be liaising with stakeholders throughout the Club including members, Ski Club Leaders and in-resort partners, using your passion to encourage and support them to engage in our social channels to create engaging content on our behalf. You may be required on occasion to visit resorts and build relationships to help deliver exciting, creative content and increased participation.

The ability to make effective decisions and demonstrate initiative whilst working to fixed deadlines is essential. You should also be an enthusiastic skier/snowboarder (ideally ex-seasonnaire).

Job Description

Duties:

  • Building relationships and liaising with Ski Club Leaders to encourage content for social media for resort Leading and Freshtracks holidays
  • Speaking to Leaders on a daily basis, supporting them to use social platforms
  • Administering the app and pushing updates daily
  • Creating and administering Facebook groups for all featured resorts
  • Liaising closely with our Communications department to identify content for sharing across the Ski Club platforms
  • Pro-actively recruiting and supporting in-resort administrators for Facebook groups and the Ski Club app
  • Reaching out to members who ski with Leaders, Instructors or participate on Freshtracks holidays to gain content
  • Identifying opportunities to create and improve content
  • Assist in developing and growing the Ski Club’s social networks – Twitter, Facebook and Instagram
  • Liaise with tourist offices and in resort partners to create and share content
  • Create a training plan for volunteer Leaders to support use of social media
  • Administer the Ski Club Leaders Centre (intranet)
  • Support Operations coordinator in delivery of in resort services and events
  • Update imagery on Ski Club Freshtracks site
  • Administer image library
  • Maintain close liaison with Club Leaders prior / during / post each group
  • Assisting with marketing activities
  • Occasional weekend and evening work required throughout the season

  • Competent in MS office and basic Photoshop

Desirable

  • Experience in / knowledge of the ski/travel industry 
  • Previous office experience
  • Worked a ski season
  • Experience in HTML and web page creation/design
