Resignation of Darren Neylon, Chief Executive Officer

The Ski Club is disappointed to announce that its Chief Executive Officer, Darren Neylon has resigned. Darren will leave the Ski Club on 15th May 2019.

In announcing the resignation, Malcolm Bentley, the Ski Club Chairman said that since Darren joined on 13th March 2018 he had contributed and achieved a considerable amount in shaping and preparing the Ski Club for a bright future. In particular he has developed a comprehensive Strategic Plan and reformed the management structure to provide a sound platform to deliver the strategy and the Ski Club’s continuing activities.

He added that naturally we are disappointed to see Darren depart, when so much remains to be achieved, but we nevertheless respect his decision to accept an attractive and challenging international role and wish him well for the future.

The Ski Club has appointed Warren Partners as recruitment consultants to identify a new Chief Executive Officer. Warren Partners worked very well with Council on Darren’s recruitment and there are considerable benefits in using the same firm and team.

Council intend to ensure that as much continuity as possible is maintained with the management of the Club, both in the day to day running of its wide range of activities for members, ongoing improvement in those activities and the continued work on implementing the key strategic initiatives. To this end, Ian Holt the Club’s Treasurer and Vice-chairman has agreed to act as interim Chief Executive Officer on a part time basis until a new permanent Chief Executive Officer joins the Ski Club.
