ON SNOW EXPERIENCE
Amongst serious powder hounds, the Monterosa Ski area is renowned for its extensive off-piste, however it is yet to make its way to the mainstream market. This means the slopes remain quiet during the week, with plenty of untracked powder runs to be found. You will have six full days off piste with your highly qualified mountain guide. This trip is aimed at Advanced (Purple) and Expert (Gold) off piste skiers – if you are unsure on your ski level please see our Ski Profile Page on the website.
In the shadow of Monte Rosa you’ll be staying 7 nights half board at the 4* Hotel Cristallo in twin share accommodation. A fantastic base to explore the area’s terrain and being only 300m from the ski lifts this hotel will satisfy your needs when it comes to a full days skiing. With a warm welcome and authentic Italian charm you can rest assured you'll be well rested, ready to start again the following day.
This trip includes scheduled return flights, and coach transfer. Ski carriage is payable at the airport only and cannot be pre booked. Please do contact our Freshtracks team on 020 8410 2022 for further details.
The Monterosa ski area is nestled in the heart of the Italian Alps and is made up of the three principal resorts of Alagna, Gressoney and Champoluc, all traditional and charming villages.
Above Alagna you will find some great tree runs but as you rise above the tree line, the slopes open out to wide powder fields waiting to be explored. As the off piste in Alagna is a little bit of a local secret, the area is slightly trickier to navigate, making your local mountain guide's knowledge invaluable. For more information, please read the Alagna Resort Guide.
For ski and/or boot hire, Sport Haus is located next to the main lift station. They stock a good range of high quality off-piste equipment and offer a discount to Ski Club members.
