The Monterosa ski area is nestled in the heart of the Italian Alps and is made up of the three principal resorts of Alagna, Gressoney and Champoluc, all traditional and charming villages.
Skiing in Alagna you will find some great tree runs but as you rise above the tree line, the slopes open out to wide powder fields waiting to be explored. As the off piste in Alagna is a little bit of a local secret, the area is slightly trickier to navigate, making your local mountain guide's knowledge invaluable.
All of our trips to Alagna stay in the Residence Mirella, a fantastic base to explore the area’s terrain. The 3* Residence Mirella is a lovely, family run, cosy hotel perfect to relax in after a hard day on the slopes. The hotel is a short walk from the base of the lift connecting Alagna Valsesia to Val D’Aosta.
With a warm welcome and authentic Italian charm you can rest assured you'll be well rested, ready to start again the following day. Staying on a B&B basis, you have the opportunity to sample some local Italian cuisine each evening.
