Yet it is also in the midst of a revival. having effectively doubled in size in recent years thanks to a huge influx of development that has revitalized the previously tired and forgotten resort. The resort's hay day was in its rear view until CHF1.8b of investment in the form of The SkiArena Andermatt-Sedrun project delivered a flood of luxury hotels and apartments, as well as six new lifts linking the resort to Sedrun. This in turn makes the connected ski area the largest in central Switzerland.
