ON SNOW EXPERIENCE
Ideal for those wanting to get a bit further away from the crowds and ensure their chance of fresh tracks, the day tour weeks include six full days with mountain guides. You’ll use lifts to gain height and from there will use your own energy to get further up and away on skins. No touring experience is necessary but is useful – but more importantly is a good level of fitness as you will be climbing at altitude.
ACCOMMODATION
You'll get the chance to stay in our fantastic new chalet on this trip, located right at the foot of the new gondola heading up to the slopes of Flégère. Accommodation is provided on a chalet board basis, with delicious breakfasts, tasty afternoon teas and fantastic three course meals all included. The chalet staff have two nights off, giving you the chance to explore the excellent restaurants located throughout the valley.
TRAVEL
Your flights are not included, please see the ‘Independent Travel’ document for discounts. Please note that due to strict changeover times for the chalet staff, on your arrival day you will not have access to the chalet until 16:00, and on your departure day you must leave by 10:00.
RESORT
The Chamonix lift system consists of several distinct and very different ski areas high above a steep-sided valley where the town and its villages are located. From one day to the next you can explore the resort’s different ski areas: Brévent & Flégère, Les Grands Montets, Le Tour & Vallorcine (Domaine de Balme), L'Aiguille du Midi/La Vallée Blanche and Les Houches. And if that isn’t enough, the Chamonix Mont-Blanc lift pass extends over to Courmayeur and even Verbier!
Accessing all these different areas could prove a challenge if it wasn’t for our minibus which will ferry you around. Fortunately it means there is no need to check bus times and walk to and from stops and lifts - we’ll collect you from the chalet door and take you straight to whichever area you’re skiing that day! For more information on Chamonix, please visit the Chamonix Resort Page.
EQUIPMENT
The best shop to hire from is the Concept Pro Shop Chamonix, which is located behind the Aiguille du Midi. They offer a 10% discount to our members and have a great selection of equipment.
