In the heart of the Dolomites sits the beautiful village of Cortina d’Ampezzo (1,211m), a sophisticated resort nestled amidst conifer forests. Cortina has great terrain suitable for all levels. Skiing with fellow Freshtrackers, you will get to explore the Dolomiti Superski, which includes the famous Sella Ronda, a ski route that forms a loop around the Sella Group and passes through the resorts of Selva Val Gardena, Colfosco, Corvara, Arabba, and Canazei.
ON SNOW EXPERIENCE
You will spend 4 days skiing on piste with your fellow Freshtrackers and Ski Club Rep, exploring the most of what Cortina has to offer. The resort is home to some of the most striking scenery in Europe, as well as a great range of terrain best suited for intermediate skiers. Experts can ski the women's downhill World Cup run.
You will be staying at the 3* Hotel Serena, a simple, great value hotel situated a short walk from main centre and ski lifts and mountain views. The restaurant offers a fantastic range of Italian and international cuisine, served in buffet style for both breakfast and dinner. There is also wifi throughout the hotel.
This holiday includes both your flights and transfers. The flights are with British Airways departing from London Gatwick, South Terminal. Ski carriage is payable at the airport only and cannot be pre-booked. Your Ski Club Rep will coordinate the coach transfer from Venice Marco Polo airport, so please look out for them in the main arrivals hall; they will be wearing their blue Ski Club jacket. The transfer will take roughly two hours.
If these arrangements are not convenient you may be eligible to organise your own travel and receive a nominal discount from the holiday cost. If you can find alternative flights that coincide with our flight times then it may be possible to meet the group at the arrival airport and take our transfers to resort. Please contact the Freshtracks office on 02084102022 in order to discuss this further.
Cortina d'Ampezzo, known as the Queen of the Dolomites is one of Italy's most stylish resorts, justifying comparisons to Courcheval, Lech and St Mortiz. As with other resorts within its class, it's not just the slopes that build the reputation. Off snow, you'll find a dazzling array of chic bars, high end restaurants, and world class shopping opportunities. The mountain restaurants in particular draw the crowd, including those visiting the resort with no intention of buying a lift pass.
If you want to hire ski equipment, you can hire from the Ski System Cortina, which is located 50m from the hotel.
