The linked resorts of Folgarida and Madonna contribute to the 150km of pistes that the Brenta Dolomites ski area has to offer. Known to be one of the most stunning locations to ski, access to over 100 groomed pistes is made easy due to fantastic connections between the 60 lifts located within the area.
With plenty of long cruising blue runs and guidance from local instructors, Folgarida is the perfect location to help you improve your technique and take you skiing to the next level.
ON SNOW EXPERIENCE
With plenty of long cruising blue runs and guidance from local instructors, Folgarida is the perfect location to help you improve your technique and take you skiing to the next level. Your six days on snow will be a mix of instruction and exploring the area with your Club Leader where you can put what you have learnt into practice.
RESORT
Folgarida may have been ‘purpose built’ but it’s far from a concrete jungle. In fact, it’s been carefully designed to be in keeping with the traditional roots of the village and is under strict instruction from the surrounding national parks that no structures rise above the treeline. This local secret is frequented mainly by Italians and you will be pushed to hear an English accent which gives the resort an authentic air.
This intermediate heaven stretches right over to Pinzolo, down the valley from Madonna di Campiglio. It has lots of cruisey blues and rolling reds with a few challenging blacks thrown in for good measure. For more expert runs, best to head to Marilleva for some challenging woodland runs and or the Nera 1 black run. You could also try out the Madonna di Campiglio for Europe’s largest board park, home to World Championship events.
The best place to finish the day on the mountain is the shared terraces of the bars in Malghet Aut where you can rest your legs in a deckchair before heading down the mountain.
