ON SNOW EXPERIENCE
Staying in Chalet Freshtracks is made even better by the epic on snow experience that we will give you. On all our Flaine holidays you will start the week with an exploratory warm up day to get your ski legs working again. Following this are five full days of expert tuition from some of the best instructors in the Alps, who aim to teach, guide, improve and entertain you! The only downside is when you'll have to leave.
This trip is aimed at Advanced Intermediate (Silver) and Advanced (Purple) off piste skiers. If you are unsure of your level please see our Ski Profile Page. At the end of the week you will receive an updated grading from your Instructor or Ski Club Rep.
ACCOMMODATION
Seven nights chalet board in one of our two chalets situated side by side up in Hameau de Flaine. Chalet board is breakfast, afternoon tea and a three course evening meal with wine on six nights. On the chalet host night off, the Ski Club Rep will organise a meal out for the group - payable locally.
RESORT
At the heart of the Grand Massif, Flaine has fantastic, vast and varied terrain for skiers of all levels. As a resort built because of the majestic mountains and generous dumps of snow, Flaine benefits from one of the best snowfalls across the Alps, with an average of almost six metres a year. With its runs being predominantly north-facing, the resort is renowned for maintaining fantastic snow throughout the season.
The resort itself is functional rather than attractive but offers decent shops and services and a couple of bars. The chalets are based up in the colourful Scandinavian-style development, Les Chalets du Hameau, a few minutes drive from the main resort. In the Hameau itself there is a bar/restaurant L'Ancolie which also has a small shop with some local products. There is a free transport to and from the main resort until midnight and in good conditions you can also ski down to the meeting point in the mornings.
