ON SNOW EXPERIENCE
On the first day you’ll be able to get your ski legs ready with a chance to explore the resort, alongside your fellow Freshtrackers, and make sure you are all set for the days ahead. You’ll then spend five full days with the instructors developing your skills and confidence moving to more and more challenging terrain and slopes as you progress. You’ll be split into groups based on your ski level and off piste ability and fitness. If you are unsure of your level please see our Ski Profile Page. At the end of the week you will receive an updated grading from your Instructor or Ski Club Rep.

At the heart of the Grand Massif, Flaine has fantastic, vast and varied terrain for skiers of all levels. As a resort built because of its majestic mountains and generous dumps of snow, Flaine benefits from one of the best snowfalls across the Alps, with an average of almost six metres a year. With its runs being predominantly north-facing, the resort is renowned for maintaining fantastic snow throughout the season. The chalets are based up in the colourful Scandinavian-style development, Les Chalets du Hameau, a few minutes drive from the main resort. In Hameau there is a bar/restaurant L'Ancolie which also has a small shop with some local products. There is a free transport to and from the main resort until midnight and in good conditions you can also ski down to the meeting point in the mornings.
If you require ski hire, we have a good arrangement with Flaine Super Ski, who stock excellent all terrain skis for our groups. They are adjacent to the main lift station and as a Ski Club member you will get a 20% discount.
