ON SNOW EXPERIENCE
You will spend three full days with local instructors. This long weekend trip will make the most of your time on the mountain while helping to improve and develop your technique. Groups will be organised based on ski level and this trip is aimed at Intermediate (Red) and Advanced Intermediate (Silver) on piste skiers. If you are unsure of your level please see our Ski Profile Page. At the end of the weekend you will receive an updated grading from your Ski Club Rep.
All holidays to Lech stay in cosy, family-run 4* Hotel Schwarzwand. It is a popular choice for many regular customers thanks to the warm welcome provided by owners Ursula and Walter. The excellent cuisine and great spa facilities including a Finnish sauna, steam bath and wellness shower make this a truly comforting trip. It is conveniently located only 3 minutes from the Rüfikopf cable car and right by the Schwarzwand ski lift. The extensive breakfast in the morning as well as the impressive cocktail menu are also highly praised.
This holiday includes both your flights and transfers. The flights are with Swiss and depart from Heathrow Airport Terminal 2. Ski Carriage is free of charge with Swiss and does not need to be pre-booked. Transfers to and from resort will be in a private coach and will take approximately 2 and a half hours. If these travel arrangements are not convenient you can organise your own travel and receive a nominal discount from the holiday cost. Furthermore, if you can find alternative flights that coincide with our flight times then you can meet the group at Zurich and take our transfer to resort. Flight schedules can be searched on www.skyscanner.net.
The chic resort of Lech benefits from being set in a high-altitude valley that is generally able to guarantee good snow. Boasting over 180km of slops, it offers something for everyone, whether you are a beginner or expert. Lech has a low key kind of luxury that comes at a price, but you won’t feel judged here. The culture is laid back and accepting and the après scene reflects this, usually in lodge style bars where you can challenge a local to the famous ‘nail game’. You will definitely have enough terrain to explore with the new link all the way over to St Anton to have an afternoon in the famous Krazy Kangaruh piste side bar. For more information on Lech, please visit the Lech Resort Page.
If you require equipment in resort, we recommend using the Sportalp ski shop. Sportalp is conveniently located beside the chairlift and they have previously offered a 10% discount to Ski Club members. http://www.sportalp.at/
