ON SNOW EXPERIENCE
During this trip, you’ll spend three mornings skiing with local instructors to help improve your on piste skills. The rest of the time will be spent exploring the mountain, alongside your group and Ski Club rep. You’ll be split into groups of 7/8, based on your ski profile. This trip is aimed at Advanced Intermediate (Silver) and Advanced (Purple) on piste skiers. If you are unsure of your ski level, please see our Ski Profile Page. At the end of the week, you will receive an updated grading from your Instructor or Ski Club Rep.
You will be based in Avoriaz for the duration of the trip, staying at the self-catered Pierre et Vacances L’Amara Apartments for 7 nights. You will be staying in a three-bedroom apartment in twin share rooms. With its own pool and nature spa in the residence, you will be able to relax in comfort after a long day on the slopes.

Please ensure your flight lands no later than 13:30 in order for you to make the group transfer time. The inbound transfer will arrive at Geneva at 11:30. Please ensure your flight departs no earlier than 13:30. The group transfer will take approximately one and a half hours. Your Ski Club Rep will co-ordinate the transfer at the airport. Large apartment blocks and hotels dominate the village but whilst their size stands out, they are mostly wood-clad and well designed, so it certainly is not an eyesore like other purpose-built resorts. The stunning setting definitely helps, as do the snow covered paths of the traffic-free town. Off the slopes there is lots to do, including dog-sledding and horse-drawn sleigh rides, whilst Aquariaz – a huge tropical themed indoor pool complex – is perfect for bad weather days.
2018 saw the opening of the ever popular La Folie Douce in Avoriaz, adding to the party-appeal of this lively resort. This added to the après offering, particular during happy hour – which includes the popular Chalet d’Avoriaz. Rock the Pistes and Snowboxx once again return to Avoriaz in 2020, bringing some of world’s top artists to town for partying in the spring sunshine. To find out more about Avoriaz, please visit the Avoriaz Resort Page.
