Do you want to improve your off piste skiing this season? Then why not join us in Tignes? one of the world’s most iconic freeride destinations! With fantastic terrain, Tignes is the perfect location to improve and develop your off piste skills with the help of some great local instructors.
ON SNOW EXPERIENCE
The holiday includes six full days of off piste skiing with either an instructor. This holiday is for Aspirer (Red), Intermediate (Silver) and Advanced (Purple) Off Piste skiers. If you are unsure of your ski profile, please see our Ski Profile Page. Groups will be organised based on ski level, and there will be up to 6 members in each group. At the end of the week you will receive an updated grading from your Ski Club Rep.
Please be aware that the Silver and Purple ski groups may be required to do some ski touring on this off piste holiday. Where possible the lift system will be used to access off piste terrain, however if you need to venture a bit further afield in order to access the best off piste conditions then your instructor may suggest ski touring. This will all be dependent upon the conditions and the instructor you have on your trip. As this is one of our larger holidays, there may be a group of members that do not want to participate in ski touring. If you would like to be in this group, please inform your Ski Club Rep at the beginning of the holiday.
Tignes shares the huge Espace Killy ski area with its neighbouring resort Val d'Isère. Between the two, there is 300km of piste skiing available to all abilities, from long gentle greens to some seriously steep off piste. Tignes has a laid back and friendly atmosphere with a lively après scene. For more information on Tignes, please visit the Ski Club’s in depth and recently updated Tignes Resort Guide.
If you require ski hire, we recommend Tignes Spirit. They offer a great discount for SC members. More information on how to hire your equipment and access this discount will be sent before your trip departs. You will then be able to pre-book online. your equipment will either be dropped off at the group hotel, or you will be collected from the hotel and taken down to the shop, before being ferried back to your accommodation when you are all kitted out!
