Zell am See has a great reputation for its alpine charm with a modern skiing twist. Its location near the picturesque local Lake Zell and the historic architecture makes it the perfect base for admiring the view when you’re not skiing too! Nearby Kaprun and Saalbach are only a bus ride away so there’s plenty of ski area to explore outside of Zell am See too.
The dominating mountain of Schmittenhohe overlooks the village and offers stunning views of a cluster of towering mountains surrounding the area. This, combined with great off slope activities and après, makes it a great destination for a mix of tourists that visit the Austrian resort.
