Pitztal might be one of Austria's smaller and lesser-known resorts, but we believe it is a hidden treasure with untapped potential. It is known for quiet slopes and delivering great snow for day touring and off piste sections. This trip will be focussed on day touring and will include climbing to access the untouched off piste terrain.

Pitztal is set in a very high, snowsure valley, that has always provided excellent conditions, even in some testing winters. The Pitztal valley is made up of several smaller resorts nestled below a magnificent glacier. The snow reliability, especially on the glacier and the high altitude touring slopes, is unbeatable. You'll find incredible views by taking the Wildspitzbahn lift which zips you up to the Hinterer Burnnenkogel to an eye-watering 3440m. From there you can enjoy a coffee at the café’s high-altitude sun terrace. For more information, please visit the the Pitztal Resort Guide.
This is an exploration holiday and you will require ski touring kit. If you require ski hire, Intersport Huter is the closest shop to the hotel.
If you own your own ski touring equipment, then it may be worth taking this with you on your trip. If you do not own your own kit, then this can normally be easily rented in resort. However, please be aware of the cost of hiring this equipment in resort.
