ON SNOW EXPERIENCE
With vast amounts of lift-served off piste terrain you’ll spend six days with mountain guides and your group. The guides know the area very well and they will use their inside knowledge to find the best powder on any given day. This holiday is designed for advanced and expert off piste skiers. If you are unsure of your ski grading, please visit our ski profile page where you will find an explanation of each of the Freshtracks grades. In order to participate in this trip you will need a good level of fitness, as some skinning may be required.
You’ll be staying at the 3* Hotel Terrace which is situated on a large hill overlooking the village. Due to its elevation it has impressive mountain panorama views and you will hear nothing of the high street below as you sleep. You’ll have your own single occupancy room, and will be catered on a half board basis, with wine included with dinner. The hotel is easily accessible from the main square by a lift, so no trudging up hills in your ski boots!
Flights are not included but you will receive a Swiss Rail ticket for roundtrip travel between Zurich Airport and Engelberg. The Rail ticket will be sent to you by post. Timetables and route planners can be found on the Swiss Rail website.
Engelberg is a traditional Swiss village with a tremendous snow record and incredible off piste terrain. The resort offers just over 80km of piste skiing served by 27 lifts, the majority of which are located on the Titlis Mountain that sits above 1800m. However, much of the face has been left un-pisted, creating a freeriders paradise, with a huge range of lift accessible off piste terrain. For more information on Engelberg, please refer to our Engelberg Resort Page.
If you require equipment hire then previous Ski Club Reps have recommended the 4 Seasons ski hire shop. This is conveniently located near the hotel and offers both a high standard of on- and off-piste equipment and also a discount to Ski Club members. This trip includes a 6 day standard adult lift pass which will be given out at the hotel in the morning of your first ski day.
