A combination of enviable snow cover, impressive terrain and a season that lasts most of the year makes Tignes one of the most dependable winter destinations in France. From Tignes adventurous riders can access the Espace Killy, undoubtedly one of the most expansive and varied areas in the Alps. Encompassing Tignes and Val d’Isère, this extensive area serves over 300km of pistes and easily accessible backcountry zones, offering something for all abilities and tastes.

Tignes has a laid back and friendly atmosphere when compared to its glamorous neighbour. The lively après scene caters for all budgets with an emphasis on good times, whether that be a quiet drink with friends or a spot of tabletop dancing at the infamous La Folie Douce. This mix of energetic on and off mountain activities will keep you coming back year after year.

Holiday price includes: 7 nights chalet board, chalethotel, twin share, return charter flights, coach transfers, 6 days with instructors, Ski Club Leader
Lift price information: Six day Espace Killy adult lift pass approx €278 (16/17)

Espace Killy is the epitome of variety, and an all-mountain trip is the best way to explore everything the area has to offer. Develop both on and off piste technique under the guidance of instructors for six days.

It's possible to ski higher, further and longer in Tignes than almost any other resort in the Alps, thanks to it's altitude and the Grand Motte glacier. Skiing is on offer the vast majority of the year, with the winter season running from October till May, alongside six weeks of summer glacial skiing.

Tignes shares the huge Espace Killy ski area with it's neighbouring resort Val d'Isere. Between the two, there are 300km of pistes for all abilities on offer, served by 78 lifts. Despite sharing slopes, they could not be more different however. Where Val d'Isere is historic and expensive, Tignes is more laid back and friendly than its chic neighbour and with that come prices that are less eye watering, there is also lively après scene that attracts those that are looking for a slightly cheaper and more cheerful experience.

The resort is comprised of five separate villages, all purpose built and to varying degrees of attractiveness. Each one has their positives and drawbacks and price tags to suit varying budgets, read more in our town tab. Appearance has improved across the board, while all are linked by an increasingly efficient lift system.

You will be staying in the Chalethotel l'Aiguille Percee in Tignes Le Lac. This is a Mark Warner managed chalet situated close to the ski school and the main piste. It has a great bar and lounge are to relax in and a Viva health and beauty salon for guests to take advantage of., with beauty treatments on offer, a Hammam, Sauna and indoor pool.
