We’re once again returning to Utah for a ski safari that will offer you the opportunity to visit four world-class ski resorts on one trip. You will start your American adventure in Alta and Snowbird, before heading over to Park City and Deer Valley.
ON SNOW EXPERIENCE
With your Ski Club Rep, you will spend 3 days exploring Alta and Snowbird, before heading over to Park City for 5 days skiing Park City and Deer Valley.
This holiday is aimed at Intermediate (Silver) to Advanced (Purple) off piste skiers. Due to the difference between on piste terrain between North America and Europe, most of our North America holidays have been given an off piste profile. However, you will remain ‘in-bounds’ for the duration of the trip. If you are unsure of your ski level, please see our Ski Profile Page. At the end of the week, you will receive an updated grading from your Instructor or Ski Club Rep.
In Alta, you will stay at the Alta Peruvian Lodge for four nights on a half board basis. The Alta Peruvian Lodge is a great place to stay after exploring the slopes of Alta and Snowbird! With access to a pool, hot tub and sauna, you will be able to relax after a long day on the mountain! During your time in Park City, you will be staying at Park City Peaks for six nights (B&B). The Peaks is in a great location, and the free Park City Mountain shuttle service is always on hand to get you to and from the mountain, as well as to the popular dining destination of Main Street each evening.
Flights are not included, however transfers are included and will be arranged by the club. You will need to land on the 21st February and depart on the 3rd March (land in the UK 4th March). On your outbound journey on the 21st, transfers can be arranged to meet your flight. For your inbound flight, a group transfer will be arranged to get everyone to the airport for a specific time. Recommended flight information will be communicated to the group when the holiday is confirmed to run. Please do not book your flights until the trip has been confirmed to run.
Though not well-known resorts, Alta and the linked Snowbird are rightly considered the powder capitals of Utah. These resorts offer 300 marked runs between them, making up only a part of the skiable area. There’s a huge range of steep, challenging and varied terrain, with everything in sight being a potential line. For more information on Alta & Snowbird, please visit their respective Resort Guides.
Park City is a historic mining town (make sure you check out the bustling Main Street) which in 2015 linked with its neighbour Canyons to become the biggest ski area in the USA. You’ll have the opportunity to ski a real mixture of intermediate to expert terrain. Nearby Deer Valley will allow you to explore uncrowded pistes – due to its limit on the number of people on the mountain each day.
