At 2,300m, Val Thorens is not only the highest resort in the Les 3 Vallées, but also the highest ski station in Europe. Situated at the top of the Belleville valley, the town is snowsure and has an incredibly long season, with resort workers turning lifts from November through to May.

Once you have kicked your ski boots off the breath-taking panorama provides ample evening inspiration. Either retrace the day’s tracks with your fellow skiers or plan the route for tomorrow's adventure.

ON SNOW EXPERIENCE

This intensive early season trip is the perfect way to blast away the summer's cobwebs. Six full days of advanced instruction with BASS will push your ability level and lay the foundations for a season of progression. Single rooms are provided in basic chalet accommodation.

RESORT

Val Thorens claims the crown not just of the highest ski resort in the Trois Vallées, alongside Meribel and Courchevel, but at 2300m in the whole of Europe. With skiing available from November till May, it has a well deserved reputation as one of the most snowsure resorts in the Alps - perfect for both our pre season or spring holidays.

Val Thorens snow record inspires confidence among improving skiers and will excite those looking to progress. The wide open bowl that the resort sits in is made up of some of the best high altitude terrain in Les Trois Vallées. The south-facing Orelle valley is also covered under the local lift pass, meaning that skiers can follow the sun around the mountain all day to find optimum snow conditions, on or off piste.

The town is compact and purpose built, thoughtfully planned to offer ski to door for many guests. A compact village centre with a vast range of accommodation to suit everyone from budget travelers to those able to splash some cash .The town itself compact centre with minimal car traffic. A wide range of restaurants bars and clubs makes for a lively Apres Scene. For those seeking more wholesome off snow activities, there is also a superb sports centre with an indoor pool, sauna and Jacuzzi, alongside tennis and squash.

 

ACCOMMODATION

You will be staying in the Chalets Abricot & Cerise, Ski World run accommodations that are just 25m from the piste and situated on the edge of the Plein Sud lift path, allowing you to ski directly to the front door at the end of the day. The shuttle bus also stops outside the chalet.
