ON SNOW EXPERIENCE
During this trip, you’ll spend three days skiing with instructors and have a further three days of social skiing with your fellow Freshtrackers. The highly qualified instructors will help improve your off piste technique while the social skiing will give you a chance to put into practice what you have learnt! This trip is aimed at Advanced Intermediate (Silver) and Advanced (Purple) off piste skiers. If you are unsure of your ski level, please see our Ski Profile Page. At the end of the week, you will receive an updated grading from your Instructor or Ski Club Rep.
You will spend 7 nights at the 3* Hôtel Chalet Royal which is located at the base of the slopes, just a 3-minute walk from the cable car. You’ll be staying in twin share or single occupancy rooms on a half board basis. After a day on the slopes you can relax on the terrace soaking in the panoramic views of the Rhone Valley and the Alps or in the wellness area which includes a sauna, hot tub and a steam bath. If you have excess energy to burn, hotel guests can access the public swimming pool, which is located just 350 yards from the property, free of charge.
Flights are not included, however a point-to-point rail ticket from Geneva airport to Veysonnaz is included.
Veysonnaz is part of the vast 4 Valleys ski area – the biggest in Switzerland. The 4 Valleys lift pass will allow you to access 412km of pistes in Bruson, Evolène, La Tzoumaz, Nendaz, Siviez, Thyon les Collons, Verbier and of course Veysonnaz itself. Veysonnaz contributes 55km of pistes to the 4 Valleys ski area but crucially it has the Piste de L’Ours, regarded by many to be one of the finest World Cup ski runs. Veysonnaz has been growing in popularity in recent years in no small part due to its fantastic off piste skiing, making it the perfect resort in which to improve your off piste skills. The resort itself is an extremely picturesque, traditional village. Unlike its neighbour Thyon, new development has not been allowed to spoil Veysonnaz. It is far quieter than its fairly close neighbour, Verbier, but still has a handful of bars for those wanting a post-skiing drink.
If you require equipment hire, we recommend Skiset. Pre-book online via the Discounts Page on the Ski Club website and you will receive a discount on your ski hire.
