Ski Club Members Ski Test Team 2020

This is the chance for six Members to join Mark Jones and the rest of the team and be part of the Ski Club’s annual Ski Tests. For the first time we’re giving Ski Club members the opportunity to be part of the team who will ski on next year’s skis first and tell us what you think of them.

So if you love chatting about ski kit, enjoy skiing all day in a variety of conditions, want a chance to be a ski model (you’ll be photographed throughout by our pro photographer) and be part of a team of like-minded people then this is for you…

We want The Ski Club’s ski tests to be the best most comprehensive, independent and valuable tests available. We believe that adding members' testing insights will augment the Pro Test Team’s detailed analysis to create the ultimate ski test results and reviews.

The Application Process

The Ski Club’s Members Test Team will be selected following a two-step application process – a written application will be followed by an informal phone interview. We believe this is the best way to give a fair opportunity to all members to have a chance to be involved. The team of six will be selected using the following principles:

  • Ski Club ski profile level: Purple+ on piste and Silver+ off piste
  • A mix of male and female testers
  • A range of ages represented
  • Your ability to be an effective team member
  • Your ability to communicate and describe your opinion about ski equipment

To apply, please email Amanda Pirie amanda.pirie@skiclub.co.uk with the subject title ‘Members Test Team Application 2020’ answering the following questions:

  • What is your Ski Club membership number?
  • What is your Ski Club profile level? (see: www.skiclub.co.uk/holidays/my-ski-profile)
  • Why do you think you will be an awesome ski tester? (max 100 words)
  • What are your favourite skis and why? (max 100 words)
  • What will you bring to the team? (max 100 words)

Provided you fit the criteria above, we're offering 6 spaces on a first come first served basis – so get your application in fast to avoid disappointment! If your application is selected, you will be invited for an informal phone interview and note that an additional two members will be selected as reserves.
