The Source comes with new graphics but continues with the wide tip and radical sidecut. The width is immediately apparent when you get moving: it seems a bit slower from edge to edge, but the fat shape allows it to feel completely at home in deep powder and variable backcountry conditions. Once on the edge, it’s surprisingly strong, with high levels of grip in long, carved turns. In shorter turns, it feels a bit unwieldy, the wider platform underfoot making it slower from edge to edge.

Tester Comments

Al Morgan
Surprising that such a wide ski should carve so well on packed, groomed snow
Nicko Braxton
Feels solid underfoot and makes you want to charge down the mountain. A real ‘lock-and- load’ ski
