We say

The new Estrella has ‘Bio-Logic’ technology which uses sidecuts that are more generous in the tip, and narrower in the tail than those of unisex skis. It matches this with a flex which is softer in the tail to allow for a more forgiving exit into the new turn. On piste it feels very stable, with high levels of grip when tilted onto the edge. Another strong characteristic is that initiation into the turn is very easy, the wide shovel doing a great job of driving the skier into the new direction. In deeper snow, the shovel worked well, but the ski could do with more width underfoot to give better float.

Tester Comments

JoJo O Brien
Felt stable at speed on piste, and therefore felt it could be pushed hard
Betony Garner
Nippy - good in short turns and surprisingly good in chopped-up conditions
