The D2’s construction remains unchanged but it comes with a new topsheet. It uses ‘Doubledeck’ which distributes the power from the skier through the upper control deck to the softer lower deck. This creates stronger edge grip and reduces vibration. A seriously powerful ski, capable of generating astoundingly high edge-grip. It feels particularly strong directly underfoot, where the interface between the binding and the ski seem really effective. As well as being a super-strong performer, it deals out a silky smooth ride, sucking up vibrations with ease. Feels fabulous in long, fast turns. In shorter turns and at slower speeds it’s quite hard work, with the stiff tail making it harder to steer out of the turn.
