They say

The Camox is focused on all-terrain backcountry and ski touring. It uses a classic tail shape with a front rocker. The double-radius tail allows for progressive turning, while the rockered front end allows the ski to float up with ease.

We say

This is another ski that elicits a strong response from the test team. It has a strong character and the powerful tail can really accelerate the skier out of the turn. This means sometimes it makes sense to get more pressure through the rear of the ski to help stay on top of the situation - if you stay centred, the Camox will charge on and feel indestructible. It’s a strange combination; the rockered nose feels soft, floaty and very user friendly, while the tail blasts you out of every apex. Try before you buy.

Tester Comments

Lee Townend
Easier to use than previous Black Crows at slower speeds. Stiff tail.
Alyn Morgan
Feels heavy on your feet - the strong tail favours higher speeds and a bigger turn-shape
