They say

Derived from Dynastar’s race technology, the all-new Chrome is designed to combine race-level power with accessible carving performance. It uses early-rise tip rocker and a ‘Dual Woodcore’ with different woods from the waist to the tip.

We say

The Chrome is a striking looking ski, with the radical tip design looking really different from anything else on the slopes! It’s a very focused, high-level ski, with huge amounts of power, stability and fluidity for carving. It feels best set up for long GS turns, where the sidecut is well matched. This is a serious carving ski that can deliver really high levels of performance. But it can feel a little one-dimensional, and it’s certainly not something that would work in variable conditions.

Tester Comments

Stable and fluid at speed - ski needs to be worked hard to get the most out of it.
Derek Chandler
Holds on well for long and short turns, and you can really feel the redirection of the ski at the start of the turn.
