They say

The Motive uses a wood core combined with ABS sidewalls in a classic sandwich construction. The striking new graphic adds to the look of a ski that’s focused on all-mountain performance. The Motive has a smooth progressive flex that feels forgiving at slower speeds but can hold on impressively when the speeds ramp up.

We say

For all-round high performance on piste it’s hard to beat, with high limits to its capabilities. The Motive is particularly brilliant in shorter turns when it has loads of pop and is really quick from edge to edge. In deeper conditions away from the piste it works well, but a wider platform would help. Another superb ski, but definitely with a focus towards performance on the hardpack.

Tester Comments

Chris Taine
Beautiful and silky smooth on piste. Great fun in a variety of turns.
Derek Chandler
Performs like a full-on piste ski: accurate, smooth and consistent through the turn, but needs to be worked hard off piste.
