They say

The Jam uses the same design and construction as last year, but with a spanky new top sheet. It has a complex wood core, with a generous 136mm shovel matched with a nose rocker and traditional camber underfoot.

We say

The Jam works well for cruising the powder. The wide shovel gives it plenty of float while the rocker allows the ski to be pivoted and steered with ease. That radical shape makes the Jam pretty reactive - it whips into a tight arc as soon as it’s tilted onto its edge. The front of the ski gives it lots of character and its defining aspect. This makes it great fun, particularly in medium arcs. However it can feel less stable at high speeds in variable snow conditions.

Tester Comments

Derek Chandler
Good for on-piste short turns. Lacks life at higher speeds.
Mark Jones
Fairly reactive - moves into the turn quickly, and would work well for all-mountain use.
