They say

The new Star 7 uses a shape that’s very similar to the award-winning Soul 7s, with a very pronounced rockered tip and tail and classic camber underfoot. It uses a light honeycomb tip to reduce swingweight and help ease of steering

We say

There was some great feedback for this ski. As with similar new designs from Rossignol, it feels exceptionally playful. This seems to be mainly down to the light, rockered nose which gives instant lift and makes the ski really easy to steer. It would work very well for first-timers in powder. The clever part of the performance is that it also has the ability to carve out pretty good turns on the groomed runs, and deliver a stable, confidence-inspiring ride when charging in the powder. It’s breadth of abilities is very impressive, and it would work well for aspiring skiers trying off piste as well as serious backcountry free riders.
