They say

Of the new Q range, the 115 is designed to be a predictable powder ski with serious all-mountain capability. As well as a full wood core, It uses a honeycomb tip and tail with a reinforced frame to reduce inertia. It’s another big ski that feels surprisingly easy to use.

We say

That lighter swingweight through the tip and tail matched with the rockered shape seems to make a big impact on how the ski reacts. It’s effortless to smear it through the turns and brush off speed instantly. If you’re charging hard into glades and confined areas, this can make the difference between backing off, or going for it, knowing you can manoeuvre easily if needed. The only downside is that the mounting point of the binding feels quite far forward, which makes the ski feel less well balanced.

Tester Comments

Derek Chandler
Easy to smear, and dumps speed easily when needed. Very easy to use in deep snow for a big-mountain ski.
Pete Davison
Carves surprisingly well on harder snow - but felt pitched forward in the crud
