They say

With the new X-Race you simply choose your main goal - from short slalom turns to big arcs - and find the appropriate length.

We say

All X-Race skis use the new ‘Active Contact sidewalls’ and rocker to make turninitiation but it definitely has the ability to deliver high-level performance. It’s very stable at high speeds in long turns, with a smooth, well damped character which feels quite different from previous pisteperformance models from Salomon. The shape is very reactive, the tip driving hard into the entry of the turn. Overall, an exciting, powerful ski which really delivers on the piste.

Tester Comments

Alyn Morgan
A very accessible expert piste ski, easy to control into and through the turn.
Pete Davison
Stable, smooth and strong on GS turns. Loads of power at the end of the turn.
