They say

The success story of the ski that’s been a long-standing player in the Völkl range continues. The Mantra is under continuous development, although this year’s model again uses tip rocker to help turn-initiation, and a titanium layer to reduce vibration.

We say

The Mantra loves speed! It feels immensely stable, and for a ski which is 98mm underfoot, it really inspires confidence at high speed. The construction seems to do an excellent job of cutting out unwanted vibration. It really helps the skier feel connected with the snow and also to feel the edge working even on the limit. In deep snow the camber profile allows the Mantra to rise up and be manoeuvrable. But essentially it works best when ramping up speed, allowing the rider to open the envelope. A great ski for hard-charging riders!

Makes you want to charge hard. Plenty of grip on the piste and loves to go fast in any conditions

Amazingly grippy on hardpack - also rocksolid in long, fast turns
