They say

The all new 88 features a rounder tip profile and uses Air Tip Technology to reduce weight through the front of the ski. It’s designed for 50% on piste and 50% backcountry use.

We say

This is a strong ski that feels nicely geared up for making long fast turns on the piste. The flex and construction is very reactive and once tilted over the Temptation can really deliver with great edge hold, particularly in bigger arcs. This is definitely a ski that you can really lay it over on the edge and trust that it will hold. In short turns it still grips well, but the shape feels at its best in longs. Moving away to deeper, chopped up conditions it feels a bit clunkier underfoot, but the rockered shape and width allow it to be versatile enough to handle whatever is thrown at it.

Tester Comments

Lynn Mill
Really sturdy and have a good edge hold on piste. Heavy ski that powers on piste but lacks some float in the off piste
Tessera Swallow
Great for flying around in long turns on the piste.
