They say

The X race takes a lot of its design cues from Salomon’s race line up. It uses world cup construction but matches it up to progressive, reactive sidecuts with a small amount of rocker through the nose to make it perform at a high level, while also being accessible to all levels.

We say

The X-Race always seems to retain solid contact with the snow, you can really feel the full length of the edge engaging and taking you through the turn. It feels very solid in both long and short turns with a sidecut that’s really well judged to cope with a wide range of arcs. It's quick onto the edge and feels completely ready for action. As well as offering high levels of performance the X-Race is an easy ski to use, feeling maneuverable and versatile enough to cope with varying conditions. It’s a hard ski to find fault with, it can lack the ultimate edge grip of some of the more hardcore skis in this category, but overall it is a superb on piste carver.

Derek Chandler
Awesome ski, great solid contact in both long and short turns. Easy and confident to put on edge, yet still manoeuvrable.
Mark Jones
Rock solid ski, that is brilliant at performing well in all turn shapes on the piste
