They say

This is a new ski from Scott that takes its construction cues from the immensely successful ‘The Ski’. It uses a new elliptic titanal sidewall that gives great torsional stiffness while the sidecut is setup for high performance carved turns.

We say

This is a very easy ski to use, the early rise tip is very pronounced and makes it very easy to initiate the turn and adjust the turn shape when you’re committed. The Black Majic is a playful, fun ski that is instantly accessible to a wide range of skier abilities. In terms of grip it feels strong underfoot and quick from edge to edge, there’s not the full length contact and edge hold that some of the racier skis in this category possess, that may be down to that early rise tip not maintaining contact with the snow. Overall this is an easy fun ski that is well suited to short turns on the piste, while the profile of the ski will allow it to be adjustable in chopped up, fresh conditions.
