They say

New for 2015, the Vanisher uses the same shape as Scott’s Punisher but features a light Pawlownia wood core, giving it a lightweight feel while being on a wider platform.

We say

This is another big mountain ski which is surprisingly versatile when it comes to dealing with a mix of conditions and terrain. On hardpack, like the Punisher it gives good solid grip and feels stable when on the edge, it’s a ski that feels comfortable at speed. In deep powder it floats really well and has enough width to give a great platform for these conditions. The sidecut can feel very reactive in these conditions and sometimes can almost oversteer through the turn, but this shape is also what allows it to put in a strong performance on harder snow conditions.

Tester Comments

Rowena Phillips
Handles the hard crud well, floats and performs well at speed.
Steph Ede
Feels great for medium shaped turns in crud.
