They say

The new Charisma uses an ultra light wood core, tip rocker and Völkl’s Doublegrip construction over the sidewalls of the ski to boost grip. It’s designed as a sporty ski for a broad range of skiers and conditions.

We say

This is a powerful ski that has a strong construction. If you get the balance it has a lovely even flex which really packs a punch as you move into the meat of the turn, this makes it an exhilarating ski to use on the piste.  Edge hold is very high and its level of performance for short and long turns on the piste is really impressive, however it is quite stiff and the skier needs to be well balanced to get the best out of it. Moving into softer snow conditions the beefy construction and flex work more against it, making the Charisma harder to adjust and only really starting to feel playful when they are running at higher speeds.

Tester Comments

Lynn Mill
Strong and stiff, work well on the piste if you like to charge.
Steph Ede
Fast and grippy on the piste, but harder to steer in the crud.
