They say

Salomon introduces a completely new approach to women's skiing, delivering the type of performance that women all over the world have been waiting for.

We say

This feels quite different in character to previous Salomon models we have tested. It likes to be skied hard and fast, with lots of stability and edge grip when tilted over onto big angles, this makes it hold on really well in long turns. The length we tried was quite short at 157 but the Gemma was incredibly stable for its length and probably gives amazing high performance levels in longer lengths. In the off piste it skied well, with good float through the shovel of the ski.

Tester Comments

Annabel Seel
Pretty good all round and nice to ski on. Fast and solid, stronger in long turns
Lynn Sharp
A ski best suited to cruising the pistes and charging the powder, surprisingly stable despite length
