They say

The Captis Birdie is a modern ski with accessible performance in its blood, an element that strikes at the heart of the Black Crows identity.

We say

All of our testers raved about the looks and rack appeal of these latest offerings from Black Crows! First impressions are very much of a ski that’s focused on off piste, it has a generous rocker matched up to wide platform and soft flex. This makes it incredibly forgiving in deep powder and soft crud, where it immediately floats up and feels exceptionally easy to steer, for first timers in powder right up to pow junkies this is a great choice. On the piste the sidecut is reactive, but the rockered profile and soft flex makes it struggle to hold on hard snow at speed.

Tester Comments

Lynn Mill
Widest ski of the day, best suited for off piste. Feels like only the foot is in contact with the snow.
 Amanda Pirie
Great graphics! Easy to steer round turns due to the rocker
