They say

The Great Joy has lightweight as the focus of its structure. Graphene is used which is extremely light but offers amazing ski performance.

We say

There’s no doubt that this is an exceptionally light ski, this is one of the main characteristics that is felt as soon as you make the first turn. This light weight gives it effortless turning abilities and an easy, user-friendly nature. On the edge it gives good levels of grip, particularly in medium shaped turns, however when the speeds get ramped up it does reach its limits. In backcountry conditions it was a similar story in that it was confidence inspiring and easy at slower speeds, but felt less stable at high speeds.

Tester Comments

Rowena Phillips
This has a soft tip and a very hard tail which was good in slow to medium speeds
Amanda Pirie
It performs well on smooth gentle off-piste and in soft snow
