They say

Optimising every square inch of the ski, the K2 iKonic 80 Ti features a new metal laminate construction that traces the edge of the ski and strategically reinforces edge grip.

We say

This is another exceptionally easy ski to use on the piste. It’s effortless in short turns where it feels quick on the edge and gives out good levels of grip through the middle of the arc. The lightweight really helps in this type of turn where it feels quick to maneuver and easy to adjust through the arc. At high speeds in long arcs the ability to grip doesn’t feel so strong, for this type of skiing it feels less stable and the construction needs to be stronger. Overall a great ski for entry-level carving skiers.

Tester Comments

Nicko Braxton
Very light for a piste ski. Performs only really at slower speeds, but it is pretty smooth
Pete Davison
Easy in the shorts and grippy on firm snow, but too soft when pushed at speed
