They say

Maximum power and precision on piste comes from two layers of Titanium, Carbon inserts and full woodcore. Push the limits to the max with a ski under 6kgs.

We say

The X-Max feels at its best when going for long, fast turns, for this type of skiing the ski feels really strong with heaps of grip and rock solid stability. If anything, it feels better as it’s cranked up, with bigger edge angles being rewarded with higher grip and a more solid feeling underfoot. In short turns it still displays great edge hold, but can lack the punch and energy of some of the more slalom orientated skis we tested in this group. Overall, a great ski, which works well for high speed long turns.
