They say

The RTM 84 features 3D ridge construction, which reduces weight around the fulcrum of the ski, reducing the difficulty of quick direction changes without sacrificing any high speed performance or stability.

We say

The RTM was an exceptionally powerful ski on the piste, with jaw dropping levels of edge grip, particularly in long turns. Most skiers will find this ski inspirational for piste use, in medium and longer arcs it’s hard to beat and was certainly the strongest within this all mountain category. As well as generating the grip, it had a really smooth, well-dampened ride, which gave confidence at speed. That powerful character, and relatively stiff flex which makes it so amazing on the piste made it a harder companion when venturing out into deeper, off piste conditions, where it can work well, but felt significantly harder to use than a lot of other contenders in this group.

Tester Comments

Pete Davison
Very strong and direct on the piste, great edge grip in long turns and high speed. Torsionally stiff, which makes them a little unforgiving in variable snow
Mark Jones
Very, very grippy. Smooth and well damped in long turns
