I have now been a Ski Club Leader for more than 20 years and still love it! I enjoy making the most of every day skiing and hope that each member finishes with a happy face. At other times of the year my husband and I travel through the UK and Europe in a motor home walking and cycling and further afield by air to nature watch and walk. Other enjoyments are our great niece and nephews.

I was first stuck on skis in the days of lace up leather boots and horrid leather safety straps which was not a total success but when I returned to the slopes as a teenager I was hooked. I am a real powder bunny, never happier than when playing in the soft stuff and am happy to don skins in search of virgin tracks. When not skiing I enjoy cycling (on and off road) and most other outdoor pursuits particularly wet ones!

I love being in the mountains, the skiing, the scenery, the light.,the atmosphere and ambiance of alpine villages. Skiing is such a fantastic sport, exhilarating and exciting and yet sociable. It can be challenging, pushing yourself to tackle that gnarly couloir, or maybe taking it easy just cruising , enjoying the view and thinking about that lovely lunch spot. My skiing experience is enhanced by sharing with like minded and passionate Ski club members. For many years I was a ski club member before I became a leader. I really get a kick out of meeting new people and old friends and sharing the fun. My favourite resort is Zermatt. It has everything, the only downside being the expense. Outside of skiing I enjoy photography, golf , dancing, classic cars and motorbikes. For a crust I run a residential property company. I really look forward to meeting you on the slopes. Martin

Joining an airline in my early twenties opened up a whole new world to me - literally! As well as travelling to exciting destinations, many new opportunities presented themselves. I learnt to ski in Alaska on a stopover enroute to Japan. I thought I was just going to sightsee, skiing colleagues had other ideas and before I knew it I was kitted out, pushed onto a chairlift and told to "just get on with it"! Not the best way to learn but rather the story of my life being the typical stubborn Capricorn and not acceding to defeat easily. Since those early days I have been lucky enough to ski on average 4 weeks a year and continually work on my technique especially when skiing in Verbier at the beginning and end of most seasons. As well as being a passionate skier, I love to horse ride and my ambition is to learn to jump. I help to teach youngsters with disabilities to ride when I am in the UK. I also play golf whenever I can and have just taken up Nordic walking as yet another hobby!

Married to Karen with two children (one boarder and one skier) I love being in the mountains. My first taste of skiing was on a school trip to Scotland. The weather was challenging but I certainly caught the bug I followed this up soon after with a holiday with a friend. What memories… two 16 year olds away from home on a skiing holiday in Hinterglemm, Austria. There was an abundance of snow and we danced on the tables in our ski boots after the last run down! That was all along time ago but my love for the mountains and skiing has never diminished and now the children have grown up I can take advantage to get away skiing more often; enjoying the slopes, the scenery and meeting new people. My other passion is squash though I have to say the standard is not that high as I only took it up a few years ago. I am looking forward to leading people around the resort and planning the day out so you get the most from it. Bring on the powder… See you on the slopes. Andrew
