The Ski Club of Great Britain (the Club) wishes to create a safe and welcoming environment where everyone is respected and valued. It believes everyone has the right to live free from abuse or neglect regardless of age, ability or disability, sex, race, religion, ethnic origin, sexual orientation, marital or gender status.
The Club acknowledges that safeguarding is everybodyโs responsibility and is committed to prevent abuse and neglect through safeguarding the welfare of all children and adults involved in Club activities in accordance with applicable legislation and government guidance.
This safeguarding policy and associated procedures apply to all individuals involved in the Clubโs activities including members of Council, Club members, staff, reps and volunteers.
For the purposes of this policy, references to Club activities include activities provided by or through the Clubโs subsidiaries from time to time, including Ski Club Winter Arrangements Ltd.

In order to implement this policy the Club will:
The policy and procedures developed by the Club from time to time will be widely promoted and are mandatory for the members of Council, Club members, staff, reps and volunteers. Failure to comply with the policy and procedures will be addressed without delay and may ultimately result in the dismissal of staff or the expulsion of members from the Club.
This policy may be amended or replaced at any time.
This policy will be reviewed at appropriate intervals, if there is a change in applicable legislation or guidance, or as a result of any other significant change or event.
