Hakon Martinsen

I grew up in Norway, so I’ve been skiing for as long as I can remember — it’s basically in my DNA. I love all things snow, from downhill and snowboarding to cross-country and telemarking. I’ve lived in the UK for the past 25 years and have been a Ski Club member ever since. I’m now a Rep and really enjoy sharing my love of skiing, the mountains, and a good day on the slopes with others.

I feel most at home in the mountains and have skied extensively in Norway and across the Alps. For me, a perfect ski day doesn’t end with the last lift — it usually involves good company, a well-earned drink, and plenty of slope-side stories. When I’m not on the snow, I live in Cambridge where I run a business with my wife. Away from the mountains, I enjoy playing and watching football, sailing, and getting out for long walks.
