Stay together. Ski further. Share more.

Three Ski Club-run chalets, two incredible mountain destinations and one shared experience. Stay, ski and socialise with a ready-made community of like-minded members, with home-cooked food, a welcoming resident team, a Ski Club Rep and expert instruction or guiding included in every week.

What makes a chalet holiday different

Your own chalet, with your own ski community

A Freshtracks chalet holiday means staying somewhere the Club runs itself: six or seven bedrooms, a resident chalet team and a Ski Club Rep, and a small group of members who'll know each other by name before the first lift. No large hotel, no rotating restaurant menu, just breakfast, afternoon tea and a three-course dinner cooked for your group most nights.

Every week is built around instruction or guiding, not just accommodation. A warm-up day to find your feet, then days on snow with the same instructors or mountain guides throughout, working with a small group so they can actually coach you, not just lead you. You'll also get a night off from chalet dinner during the week, a chance to head into town and eat out somewhere different with the group.

Meet your chalet hosts

The hosts run the day to day of your week: breakfast, afternoon tea and a three-course dinner most nights. Most members come back for them as much as the mountain.

Josh and Elle, chalet hosts in Chamonix
Chamonix Chalet Cachat

Josh & Elle

Elle

Hi I'm Elle, I'm 28 years old, a proper Yorkshire lass, and now on my fourth season chalet hosting in the glorious French Alps. No one in my family is a skier, so I learnt when I was 16 on my school ski trip to Saalbach, Austria. I was instantly hooked from just my first few runs, and my complete lack of fear meant that I didn't hold back!

More from Elle

I then started dry slope ski racing at university as it was so incredibly cheap to do, and spent four years pounding the Dendix and smashing slalom gates, even competing nationally. By the time I did my first season, I was a nifty speed demon on the pistes… but absolutely useless off them! So I've been spending my last few winters learning to ski off-piste, which has grown into a love of free ride, touring and the backcountry.

I also picked up snowboarding whilst on seasons and now spend half my time on the mountain on one plank instead of two. In the summer time you can find me leading children's art classes, getting out in nature, and practicing my recipes for the winter.

Josh and I met at university when we were 20 and both took a very active role in the snowsports club – Josh as president and I as race captain. We've been together for nearly eight years now and have successfully run four chalets together in La Plagne, Flaine, and now Chamonix.

Josh

Hi, I'm Josh. I'm 28 and grew up in the UK. This will be my 5th season chalet hosting in the Alps, having spent 3 years working in La Plagne in the Paradiski, followed by a year in Flaine running Ski Club's Freshtracks chalets in the Grand Massif. Elle and I have run a number of different chalets between us, ranging in size up to 19 guests, so you'll be in good hands!

More from Josh

We loved working for Ski Club in Flaine last year, and we're always looking for a new adventure, so we jumped at the opportunity to run the new Freshtracks Chalet in Chamonix. It's an amazing town and ski area with a massive amount of history so we're very excited to make it our (and your!) home for the winter.

I've been skiing for many years, 4 or 5 of which I spent ski racing, but since I started living in the Alps over winter, I have focused more and more on off-piste and touring. There's nothing Elle and I love more than a great powder day, but to be honest we're just at our happiest out in the mountains regardless of the conditions. Nowadays, we both ski and snowboard and love both equally. We can't wait to see what this season has in store!

In the summer I like to skateboard, mountain bike, fish and hike, and work as a sales engineer for a scientific research equipment company as my academic background is in Physics.

Flaine Chalet 1

Pete & Rachel

We're both proud Cumbrians with a long standing love of the outdoors and we have spent more than a decade chasing winter across the Alps. Our ski season journey includes 3 memorable winters in Flaine, a resort that feels like a second home.

Although we're both dedicated snowboarders (sorry!), we're keen to expand our skills and try our hand at ski de fond this year. We're excited to be back in Flaine and can't wait to host this season – see you on the mountain!

Flaine Chalet 2

Dan & Alex

Dan

This will be Dan's second season working in one of our Flaine chalets. He is a keen skier and was previously a Ski Club member, coming on our chalet holidays himself. Essex born and bred, he now spends his summers working hard as an event chef and on yachts.

Alex

This will be Alex's first season with the Club, but he brings 10 years of chalet hosting experience from La Tania. In the summer he runs wine tours around the Dordogne. Alex is looking forward to exploring the French vibes of Flaine, and will be running the White chalet alongside Dan.

A Ski Club Rep is present across all chalet holidays Your Rep is there in both Flaine and Chamonix, organising the socials and on hand throughout your week.

Chalet FAQ

Common questions

Are single rooms available?

Availability is shown on each holiday's "View Dates & Prices" tab. If listed, it's available; if not shown, single rooms have already sold out, so book early.

Is it chalet board?

Yes, hearty breakfasts, afternoon tea, and a three-course dinner most nights. There's also one evening off to head into town and eat out somewhere different, and one prepared meal on staff days off.

Are lift passes included?
