On Piste Development
See dates & pricesThe same social week, with coaching built in
On Piste Development holidays carry the same rhythm as every Freshtracks trip, a Rep close by, evenings spent together, a group that starts to feel familiar by the second day. The difference is a qualified instructor, woven into your days, working with your small same-ability group as the week unfolds.
You get both, not one instead of the other, focused tuition by day, and the familiar warmth of the Freshtracks evenings after a day on the mountain. Some holidays include six days instruction, while others offer the chance to split your week between tuition and social skiing.
Why join Freshtracks on a Development trip
Every week is built to grow your confidence and skills, whatever pace that happens at.
The habit you didn't know you had gets fixed
Real, progressive tuition aimed at the specific things holding your skiing back, not a generic lesson repeated on a loop.
A community you didn't expect to find
Around 85% of members join us solo. You get both the coaching and the usual Freshtracks social side, so the group you improved with is the same one you're having dinner with.
Explore new resorts
A wide choice of resorts each season, from Tignes to the Dolomites, some with spa facilities to ease those aching legs after a day of coaching.
Leave noticeably more confident
By the middle of the week, most members are skiing runs they wouldn't have attempted when they arrived, with the same group cheering them on.

What Development weeks are like
My first Freshtracks experience and it delivered everything I had hoped for. It was an opportunity to ski all day with great group of interesting people who wanted to do the same, most of whom were also travelling solo.
Cathy, Austrian AchievementAnother outstanding Peak Experience ski week with super Rep and outstanding ski coaching. Surrounded by great fellow skiers in a super hotel and on the excellent 3 Valleys terrain.
Richard, Val Thorens On Piste ProgressionIf you are a good skier but want to improve your skills along with similar standard skiers, then this is the perfect trip. Excellent tuition and guiding around Les Arcs and La Plagne. Lots of laughter and adventure - I can’t recommend highly enough. Also, great value for money as the tuition is all day for 6 days.

FAQs
Will this suit a complete beginner?
Most of our development trips assume some prior skiing experience (typically Blue level and above). For first-timers, our Discover Snowsports resources are a better starting point.
How much actual tuition is included?
Some weeks include six full days of tuition, while others include three days of tuition and three days social skiing with your Rep. The tuition typically starts at 9am and ends at 4pm, with an hour lunch stop.
Will I definitely improve in a week?
Most members leave noticeably more confident, whether that's cleaner technique, new terrain, or just skiing without thinking about it as much. It's not about ticking up a level, it's about what you can actually do differently by day seven. Instructors set realistic goals with you on day one.
Is there still a social side, or is it all lessons?
Both. Development runs to the same format as every Freshtracks holiday, with a Rep, evenings together, and a group you'll get to know. It's not instruction instead of the social side, it's instruction added to it.
