The beginners area is down by the resort centre. Further up the mountain there are some gentle runs for progressing beginners and early intermediates.
Runs for more advanced intermediates can be found in neighbouring Claviere and Montgenèvre. Advanced skiers have a few runs to tackle in Sansicario itself, such as the Fraiteve and Moncrons runs. There is also a good snowpark and plenty of other options elsewhere in the Milk Way area.
Sansicario is a modern, purpose-built, self-contained but rather soulless little resort, mainly consisting of apartments grouped around the small shopping precinct. Turin airport is just over one and a half hours away by car.

After a good couple of weeks for the Italian Alps, things settle down through this week as high pressure brings fine, dry and bright conditions to the region.
Temperatures will be warm, with the freezing line dropping only to 2,500m overnight and climbing as high as 3,500m in the midday sun. A rare flutter of cloud could move in over on Friday and Sunday, but otherwise spring is firmly here in the Italian Alps.
A couple of flurries of snow could fall early next week as the freezing line drops in to the new week, but it remains a bit too early to tell exactly how much, when, and where this might fall.
