There's two areas to choose from in Seefeld. The small Gschwandtkopf area only has a couple of lifts and limited vertical, so you'll likely head instead to Rosshütte and its 18km of slopes.
These are served by a slick lift system, comprising of a funicular, a couple of cable cars and three fast 6-seater chairs. The slopes are nice and cruisey, plus there’s the added attraction of night skiing and marked ski touring routes for those looking to earn their turns.
The resort itself is large for the size of its ski hills, with lots of accommodation options, including some very smart 5* hotels. Cross country is also a huge attraction here, with a number of small loops in the resort itself, plus an extensive area a few kilometers away in Leutasch. Access from Innsbruck is as quick as it gets, with the drive taking less than half an hour – making this a great weekend destination or resort to combine with a city break.

Whilst cold and unsettled weather flows in from the East, most of this will flow south of the Main Alpine Ridge and miss the Austrian Alps.
The region will see more sun than a lot of places in the Alps this week, with high pressure moving through the region on Monday and Tuesday. Cloud quickly returns through the middle of the new week, but with only a few flurries of snowfall to accompany this. Temperatures remain cool to cold, with the freezing line floating between 1,000 and 1,500m throughout this period.
